化け猫 Bakeneko

Getting into the Halloween spirit, I chose to illustrate my take of the vintage Biestle black cat crossed with a Japanese Bakeneko 化け猫. The Bakeneko ("changed cat") is a type of Japanese supernatural creature called yōkai. I also explored a host of color possibilities.
